Clear-Coated Basement Floor Transformation

This basement concrete floor was given a completely new look while preserving the natural character of the existing concrete. Rather than covering the floor with a decorative flake system, the goal was to clean up, restore, and protect the original concrete.

We mechanically prepared the entire basement with diamond grinding, removing surface contamination and creating the proper profile for the coating system. We also addressed the existing cracks before applying:

• Diamond-Ground Concrete Surface
• First Polyaspartic HS Clear Coat
• Second Polyaspartic HS Clear Coat

The two coats of high-solids polyaspartic clear deepen the natural color and variation of the concrete while creating a durable, easy-to-maintain finished surface.

The result is a clean, industrial-style basement floor that keeps the character of the original concrete, including its natural variation and repaired areas, while providing significantly improved durability and protection.
