Church Basement Floor Transformation – Louisville, KY
This Brookview Baptist Church basement in Louisville, Kentucky had an older concrete floor with years of wear, staining, and remnants from previous flooring and coatings. With a large open space and numerous support columns, thorough surface preparation was especially important to ensure a consistent, long-lasting finish.
We mechanically prepared the entire concrete surface with diamond grinding, removing old contaminants and creating the proper profile for our coating system. Once the floor was properly prepared, we installed our three-layer system:
- Vapor Barrier Epoxy Base Coat – Helps lock down moisture within the concrete while creating a strong foundation for the coating system.
- 100% Vinyl Flake Broadcast – Provides full coverage and transforms the worn, inconsistent concrete into a clean, uniform surface.
- Polyaspartic Clear Topcoat – Seals and protects the system while providing excellent abrasion resistance and long-term durability.
The transformation completely changed the appearance of this basement, replacing the worn and heavily used concrete floor with a bright, seamless, easy-to-maintain surface.
The result is a durable, professional flooring system built for a high-use church environment, providing Brookview Baptist Church with a cleaner and more functional space for years to come.
